Westport police logs: Man arrested on warrant

Monday, August 12

A caller from Sycamore Lane reported a neighbor dispute at 9:25 a.m. A similar call came in from Drift Road at 5:26 p.m.

Animal complaints came in from Main Road at 10 a.m., and from American Legion Highway at 7:45 p.m.

Police logged a complaint of suspicious activity on Reed Road at 1:04 p.m. Similar calls came in from Old Horseneck Road at 4:19 p.m. and Blossom Road at 7:57 p.m.

A caller from C Street complained of a civil issue at 4:02 p.m.

A Maple Lane resident complained of larceny, forgery or fraud at 4:35 p.m.

Police pulled over six vehicles and issued four citations over the course of the day. Additional parking enforcement officers issued one citation.

Tuesday, August 13

Animal complaints came in from Gifford Road at 9:26 a.m. and 5:51 p.m., and from Arlington Avenue at 5:58 p.m.

A caller from State Road reported a stolen registration plate just before 6 p.m.

Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on East Briggs Road at 5:57 p.m.

A caller reported suspicious activity on Davis Road at 8:29 p.m.

Police pulled over two vehicles and issued one citation over the course of the day.

Wednesday, August 14

Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on East Briggs Road at 10:10 a.m. It was served successfully 24 minutes later.

Animal complaints were phoned in from Cornell Road via 911 at 4:21 p.m.

A State Road caller complained of noise at 10:47 p.m.

Police pulled over four vehicles and issued one citation over the course of the day.

Thursday, August 15

Animal complaints came in from Drift Road at 10:12 p.m.

A caller from State Road reported a suspicious person at 10:27 p.m.

Police pulled over five vehicles and issued four citations over the course of the day.

Friday, August 16

Police found nothing amiss after a caller from American Legion Highway, at Gifford Road, called to complain about a disturbance at 12:22 a.m.

Police served a restraining order to a Third Street resident at 9:23 a.m.

Police advised a Register Avenue resident who called at 11:43 a.m. that the issue at hand was civil, not criminal, in nature.

A noise complaint came in from Briggs Road at 5:04 p.m.

Police investigated a resident’s complaint of a suspicious person on Meadowbrook Lane at 6:29 p.m.

Philip Lindsey Plant III, 32, of 592 Main Road, was arrested on a warrant at 7:30 p.m. Police had no further information on the nature of the warrant.

A 911 call regarding suspicious activity called in from Sanford Road at 8:41 p.m. was unfounded, police said.

Police pulled over one vehicle and issued one citation over the course of the day.

Saturday, August 17

Animal complaints came in from Potters Lane at 11:20 a.m.

A State Road resident reported threats at 2:50 p.m.

Police were informed of a vehicle repossession on Briggs Road at 5:41 p.m.

Police pulled over two vehicles and issued two citations over the course of the day. In addition, parking enforcement officers cited three vehicles.

Sunday, August 18

Alexandro Spinola Moreno, 35, of 57 Smith St. Apt. 1, Fall River, was pulled over on State Road at 3:20 a.m. and charged with operating with a suspended license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a revoked registration, subsequent offense.

A Hix Bridge Road resident reported a disturbance at 3:44 a.m.

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on State Road at 1:15 p.m.

Animal complaints came in from Horseneck Road at 1:34 p.m.

Police were unable to locate a suspicious person called in from American Legion Highway at 8:32 p.m.

Police pulled over five vehicles over the course of the day, arresting one. In addition, parking enforcement officers cited one car over the course of the day.
