Westport beach parking lots closed
But walking on beaches allowed; town buildings closure extended
Westport has closed its town beach and public landing parking lots effective Friday, April 3, consistent with the Governor's April 2 order to close state beach parking lots.
Residents may continue to walk on the beaches so long as they abide by physical and social distancing guidelines.
This applies to Cherry & Webb Beach and East Beach, Knubble Beach, Head of Westport Landing, Horseneck Landing, Point Landing, Emma Tripp Landing, and Adamsville Landing.
Due to the continuing dangers from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Westport Board of Selectmen closure of all municipal buildings to the public will remain in effect through May 4.
This includes the Public Library and Senior Center. This is consistent with the March 31 advisory from Governor Baker.
