Westport beach cleanup is this Saturday

The Westport River Watershed Alliance had a good turnout at its electronics recycling day last Saturday. Residents brought in a few thousand pounds of old computers, monitors, TVs and miscellaneous equipment no longer being used. Overseeing it all was a large crew of volunteers.

The alliance's next public event is a beach cleanup planned for this Saturday, May 13, at Cherry and Webb Beach. The alliance needs volunteers for the 10 a.m. to noon event. If you can help, sign up in advance by calling the alliance at 508-636-3016, or email Steve at outreach@wrwa.com.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
