Monday, Aug. 31

Police were called to a Main Road address for an unknown person at the door at 10:44 am. Police found that the person was a census worker with identification.

A 911 caller alerted police to a motorist attempting to hit a motorcycle at 4:15 pm on Route 24. The car took the Main Road exit but was not located.

A caller reported receiving threats via social media.

Portsmouth Police notified Tiverton to be on the lookout for a motorcycle on Route 24 north being driven well over 90 mph at 6:24 pm.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

The Tiverton Casino called at 12:02 am to request police assistance with an ejection.

Two suspicious persons were reported in the Riverside Drive area at 1:01 am. They proved to be fishermen.

At 8:08 am, a Canonicus Street caller reported that a woman was screaming and yelling in her car. An officer found that the woman was talking loudly on her phone.

A Briarwood Avenue resident called at 11:06 am to  complain about a dog that had been barking for hours. The owner took the dog inside.

Police and rescue were called to a two-car accident on Stafford Road at 5:14 pm. One vehicle had be towed; all involved declined transport by rescue.

Police were contacted at 5:16 pm about alleged illegal use of a dumpster. The accused denied using the dumpster.

A Campion Avenue caller reported fraud involving Amazon at 5:40 pm.

A Warren Avenue caller reported that a dog had been barking for over an hour at 6 pm.

Police and fire responded to Bourne Mill Apartments at 6:59 pm in response to a fire alarm. A light odor of smoke was detected in an apartment but no fire was located.

At 10:23 pm, loud noise from a group of people was reported at the Fish Road park and ride. The people were dispersed.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

A resident banging on the walls was reported at Bourne Mill Apartments at 5:18 am.

Matthew J. Pinksaw, 41, of 13 Holly Circle, Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of simple assault at 10:20 am, at the police station.

At 10:29 am, a Canonicus Street caller reported that his dog had been bitten by a coyote (on August 21).

Kenneth E. McCarthy, 50, of 491 Stafford Road, was arrested on a charge of indecent exposure at 11:56 am at the Sip and Dip on Crandall Road.

At 2:59 pm, police and firefighters were dispatched to Crandall Road at East Road for a two-car accident. Nobody was injured.

An Edmond Lane caller reported receiving death threat text messages.

A Kenyon Road resident reported being stalked and harassed by email.

At 5:27 pm, a caller reported a large tree down across two lanes of Bulgarmarsh Road at Roosevelt Drive.

At 7:28 pm, a Bourne Mill Apartments caller reported that a neighbor was banging on walls and screaming in the hallways.

Dollar General on Stafford Road called at 7:31 pm to report a disorderly customer; the store asked that the man be issued a no trespass order.

William  N. DaCruz, 25, of Pawtucket, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant from another department and for driving with a suspended license at 10:55 pm on Route 24.

Eric R. Cruz, 31, of 333 State Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of domestic violation of a no-contact order at 11:15 pm at that address. Police had been called there for a report of a loud argument.

A Stone Church Road caller reported that a man had come out of the woods and was breaking branches in the back yard. Police were unable to locate the man.

A car struck a deer on Main Road at 7:45 pm. The car was damaged, no word on the deer.

Thursday, Sept. 3

A neighbor banging on the walls and yelling was reported at Bourne Mill Apartments at 6:54 am.

A coyote was reported in the parking lot of Crumbelievable on Main Road at 8 am.

At 11:47 am, an East King Road resident reported a horse in her yard. The horse was returned to its owner.

Police responded to a dirt bike complaint on Main Road at State Avenue at 2:24 pm (it proved to be a moped).

Amanda M. Medeiros, 30, of 40 Lawrence Court, Tiverton, was arrested on animal cruelty and failure to obtain rabies vaccinations charges at 3:19 pm at that address. See separate story.

Ethan Jones, 19, of Middletown, was arrested on charges of eluding law enforcement — vehicle in a high speed pursuit, and of obstructing a police officer at 10:43 pm at the Dadson Mobile Home Park on Bulgarmarsh Road.

At 3:25 pm, police and rescue responded to a 911 report of an accident with injuries. Police found a two car accident — one of the vehicles had struck a tree in the vicinity of Manchester’s Slaughterhouse on Bridle Way. Two people were treated for injuries.

Police went to Hope Street at 3:56 to check on a threatening note placed on a mailbox.

At 7:15 pm, police were called to Riverside Drive for two motorcycles racing and doing stunts.

A large gathering at the Fish Road park and ride was reported at 9:40 pm.

A car was damaged when it struck and killed a deer on Min Road at 10:54 pm.

A Beech Avenue caller reported strange noises coming from a Beech Avenue house a 11:41 pm.

Friday, Sept. 4

Amanda Cabral, 30, of Fall River, was arrested on two bench warrants from 6th District Court, and on a charge of driving with a suspended license, second offense, on Canning Boulevard at 10:22 am.

At 10:54 am, a John Duggan Road resident called to report firearms missing.

At 6:37 pm, police received a 911 call about loud music at a Main Road location. The music was coming from nearby car.

At 7 pm, a Main Road caller dialed 911 to complain about loud music. Police report music (from studio — Bootyland) was turned down.

A Main Road caller reported that when officers left, the neighbor resumed blasting his music.

Courttney L. Rebello, 29, of 73 Fairfield Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of narcotics possession at 9:20 pm The arrest followed a report of a disturbance on Fairfield Avenue.

Shane W. Priest, 18, of 73 Fairfield Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on charges of narcotics possession and of resisting arrest at 9:20 pm.

Darcie A. Silvia, 45, of Fall River, was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct at 11:15 pm at a Stafford Road address.

At 8:05 pm, Portsmouth Police called for assistance locating possible Tiverton participant(s) in a fight at a waterfront bar— one will likely have an injury to his eye.

The State Police COVID Task Force asked that an officer check out a report of a large gathering at the north end of Main Road at 9:09 pm. An officer found a “small gathering.”

Saturday, Sept. 5

A Seapowet Avenue caller reported hunting in the Seapowet Marsh area at 6:25 am.
