Mary E. "Betty" (Wilkie) Zuber, 91, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at home. She was the devoted wife of the late Frederick T. Zuber with whom they spent 69 years together.

Mary E. "Betty" (Wilkie) Zuber, 91, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at home. She was the devoted wife of the late Frederick T. Zuber with whom they spent 69 years together.

Born in Fall River, Betty was daughter of the late Herbert and Loretta (Peladeau) Wilkie. A graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse working in the special care nursery ward until her retirement.

A woman of great faith, she was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. Mrs. Zuber was a member of the Westport Fair Committee. She enjoyed reading, baking, and gardening. She worked tirelessly to encourage and support her family in their pursuits. Together Betty and Fred leave a legacy of love for family that will live on in the hearts of those they touched.

Survivors include four sons: Richard J. Zuber and his wife Patricia of Dartmouth, Paul D. Zuber and his wife Mary Ann of Westport, Thomas F. Zuber of Dartmouth and Peter J. Zuber of Westport; a daughter: Dianne M. Potter and her husband Skip of Westport; a brother: Roger Wilkie, Sr., of Tiverton; a sister: Jeanne Borges of Westport; 11 grandchildren: Frederick, T.J., Patrick, Katie, Kerry, Zack, Jonathan, Joshua, Jessica, Keely and Abigail; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was the sister of the late Raymond H. Wilkie of Tiverton.

Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport from 4 to 7 p.m.

A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
