Monday, Jan. 4
After a traffic stop on Crandall Road at 12:04 pm revealed that the car was not registered, the vehicle was towed and the driver was cited and given a ride home to Westport.
A John Dyer Road resident called police at 9:32 pm to ask that two hunters and their hunting dogs who were trespassing on private property be removed.
Tuesday, Jan. 5
At 10:54 am, police issued a no-trespass order at the request of a Pennsylvania Road resident.
Wednesday, Jan. 6
A San Antonio, Texas, resident was cited for driving with a suspended license, first offense, at 6:48 pm on Colebrook Road near the Transfer Station.
Thursday, Jan 7
At 5:02 pm., police were called to Brownell Road at South Shore Road for a report that a dog had struck a vehicle. The dog was hurt and the vehicle sustained minor damage.
A Westport resident was cited for driving with a suspended license, first offense, after a traffic stop at 5:34 pm on West Main Road near Whitehead Preserve.
Friday, Jan. 8
After a 10:30 am traffic stop on Old Harbor Road, a Tiverton resident was cited for driving with a suspended license, first offense.
Rescue was called to Old Stone Church Road to tend to a woman who was bitten in the arm by a dog at 1:41 pm. She was transported to Newport Hospital.
Police and rescue went to John Dyer Road at 10:05 pm at Big Drum Road after a car struck a tree causing the air bag to reply. The driver declined transport to the hospital.
Sunday, Jan. 9
After a 2:11 pm motor vehicle stop on Main Street at Old Harbor Road, the driver, a Fall River resident, was cited for driving with a suspended license and the vehicle was towed.
