Little Compton Police: Political sign targeted

Tuesday, Sept. 1

At 12:18 pm., an East Main Road resident requested that police help keep the peace while items were retrieved from a residence.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

After a 12:33 am traffic stop on the south end of West Main Road, police arrested John F. Cotugno II, 36, of Warwick, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department.

Thursday, Sept. 3

At 7:41 pm, the state 911 service reported a 911 call and hangup from a Pottersville Road address. Police checked — “accidental by a child.”

Saturday Sept. 5

At 10:49 am, a South Shore Road resident reported annoying phone calls and voicemail.

Sunday, Sept. 6

A Sakonnet Trail resident reported vandalism to a political sign at 10:57 am.

At 11:38 pm, officers responded to an Old Main Road address to assist Middletown Police with a matter.
