Monday, Sept. 14

At 4:51 am, a caller told police he had struck a dog while driving on Colebrook Road at Adamsville Hill. The responding officer determined, “The animal is a pig and appears to be OK.” Plans were made to transport the pig to West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton, but the owner was located and arrived to pick it up.

Police were called to a motor vehicle accident near Town Hall at 11:43 am. The car had to be towed but there were no injuries.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

At 4:08 pm, a caller reported that a vehicle had struck a mailbox on Old Stone Church Road.

Thursday, Sept. 17

A wallet was found between the tennis courts and Veterans’ Field a 7:52 pm.

Friday, Sept. 18

At 10:04 am, a caller reported finding an unknown type of bone on Goosewing Beach — thought to be some sort of animal bone.

A resident came to the station at 12:35 pm to report a Social Security scam phone call.

At 4:32 pm, a resident arrived at the station with an old revolver found in the garden.

Saturday, Sept. 19

Two wallets found on South Shore Beach were turned in to police by a lifeguard at 10:37 am.

Sunday, Sept. 20

Baycoast Bank turned in a set of keys found at the ATM on Meeting House Lane at 8:42 am.
