Letter: Disrespectful eyesore on Hixbridge
We drove across the Hixbridge bridge today and just before heading east over the bridge, on the left, were a series of mangled trees.
Ripped to shreds (same horrible machine that does the sides of highway).
Why?
Were they too close to water?
Unsightly?
Other landscaping planned?
Whatever the reason, why use that method? Sitting behind an historical market, looking out at the water and what do you see?
Gross disregard and disrespect for nature. It's a sad commentary on our community (besides being a metaphor for so much else).
