Joseph P. Quint Jr., 84, Westport

Joseph P. Quint Jr., 84, of Westport, passed away at home on Thursday, May 27, 2021, following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Jane (Hansen) Quint.

Mr. Quint was born in St. Louis, Mo., son of the late Joseph P. and Agnes (Cambra) Quint, and had resided in Westport for most of his life. 

He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement, he worked as a machinist for Brown & Sharpe, Providence. He enjoyed going to Buttonwood Park and driving to the beach. He also liked working on his house, being out in the yard and tinkering with cars.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Southcoast VNA for the compassionate care they gave to Mr. Quint.

Survivors include his four sons, Joseph P. Quint III of Tiverton, David P. Quint of Dartmouth, William H. Quint of Westport and Christopher J. Quint of Dartmouth; his daughter, Linda Sinclair of Westport; two brothers, Franklin Quint of Arizona and Michael Quint of Missouri; two granddaughters, Sara and Samantha; and a great grandson, Jayse.

He was the father of the late Dale W. Quint.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport.
