John Patrick Moran Jr., Westport

John Patrick Moran Jr., born December 5, 1938 in New Bedford, died on January 5, 2021, peacefully in his sleep next to his wife Sarah J. Moran of 32 years. He was the son of the late John P. Moran Sr. and the late Gladys M. (McCarthy) Moran.

John attended Cheshire Academy High School and then served in the Navy during the Bay of Pigs in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After military service, he graduated from Johnson and Wales University and began a long successful career as a stockbroker. 

He met Sarah, his wife, in the early 1980's and they were married on October 3, 1988. John was a caring, kind and devoted husband. He will be sorely missed by Sarah, his family, friends and his cat Helen.

There will be a graveside service at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport, MA 02790.
