Police confirmed a water break on Highview Avenue at 7:23 a.m. after a caller reported the road was bubbling and leaking water. The Bristol County Water Authority responded to the scene for repairs.

I3 Broadband was called to Long Lane at 8:42 a.m. to repair a downed cable wire.

Kathryn Ferrara, 37, of Warren, was arrested on Greenlawn Avenue at 3:14 p.m. following a report that she had taken small animals from a relative’s home. She was charged with three counts of domestic violence (unlawful breaking/entering, simple assault/battery, and disorderly conduct, all first offenses). She was arraigned and released later that evening.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

Police received a report of a skateboarder in a parking lot on Main Street at 1:18 p.m. but they were gone when they showed up to the scene.

DPW reported that a group of juveniles were harassing and filming workers near Water and Miller Streets at 2:28 p.m. Police arrived and spoke to them, advising them to film from a safer distance.

Employees at the treasurer’s office reported a group of people were filming and harassing employees at 2:48 p.m. Police spoke with town employees and advised them of the law.

Police dispersed people having a fire in the woods near Vernon Street at 3:53 p.m. The fire was extinguished.

James Cooper, 18, of North Easton, Mass., was arrested on Child Street at 11:09 p.m. following an incident where it was reported a truck drove over a curb into a front lawn and proceeded to attempt to leave the scene. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. He was arraigned and released to the custody of a parent.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

Police logged a report that a juvenile was in possession of alcohol on Child Street at 8:58 a.m.

Thomas Mahoney, 18, of Cranston, turned himself in on a warrant at 9:30 a.m. He was charged with domestic violence (felony assault and/or battery), possession of a weapon other than a firearm, and domestic violence (disorderly conduct, first offense). He was transported to court later that morning.

Police issued a no trespass order to a man who was reportedly shoplifting from a Metacom Avenue business at 11:23 a.m.

A bicycle was reported stolen from Sowamsett Avenue at 4:06 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 17

Damage to a Main Street property was reported at 7:13 a.m.

A passerby near Main and Water Streets reported that juveniles were throwing items at cars as they passed by at 3:35 p.m. The kids said they were not throwing anything but were playing close to the street. Police advised them of the complaint.

Police administered Narcan to a Main Street resident who had overdosed at 4:44 p.m. He was transported to the hospital.

Katina Saviano, 31, of Warren, was arrested on Water Street at 10:21 p.m. following an accident involving a parked car. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. She was arraigned and then transported to the hospital early the following morning.

Friday, Nov. 18

Police received a report at 7:54 a.m. that catalytic converters had been removed from three vehicles on Commercial Way.

Police looked for a panhandler near Main and Seymour Streets at 8:39 a.m. but they had left the scene.

Saturday, Nov. 19

Denise Almeida, 67, of Warren, was arrested for active warrants on Child Street at 1:14 a.m. following a wellbeing check. She had two Superior Court warrants and a bench warrant from 6th District Court. She was transported to Cranston later that morning.

Police got a report of loose cattle near Metacom Avenue and Adams Lane at 7:17 a.m. The owner was able to corral them shortly afterwards.

Sunday, Nov. 20

Police dispersed a man who was flagging down motorists near Seymour and Main Streets at 11:54 a.m.
