Warren police logs: Woman charged with DUI after accident

Monday, Nov. 23

Police were called to Liberty Street for a smashed car window.

A Union Street woman told police that her neighbor might be intoxicated, and going in and out of his house and yelling. Police found nothing amiss.

Tuesday, Nov. 24

A caller from Bagy Wrinkle Cove called at 7:41 a.m. to complain about landscapers making noise in the neighborhood.

A Stonegate Road man said his wife was the victim of a phone scam.

A caller complained that someone was removing trees on a vacant lot on Patterson Avenue, possibly without permission.

A caller told police he was walking on Market Street just before 6 p.m. when a stranger dressed in a black trench coat approached him and started yelling at him before walking off.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

A Warren Avenue man reported receiving harassing texts.

A caller from Kelly Street told police there might be hunters in the area. Police found a removable hunting blind, but saw no other evidence of hunting. In any case, officers noted that the blind was the proper distance away from residences in the area.

A Joseph Drive man complained about a stolen and forged check.

Police dispersed an unwanted person from a home on Ridgeway Drive after getting a call at 4:55 p.m.

A woman complained that someone was doing donuts in the parking lot at Main and Norbert streets.

Heather K. Dalton, 44, of Dighton, Ma., was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after she was involved in an accident at Water and Miller streets at 10:17 p.m. Nobody was injured.

Friday, Nov. 27

A New Industrial Road property owner called police after someone abandoned a camper on his property.

A caller from Arlington Avenue reported being harassed by her boyfriend's ex.

A Sisson Street man called and asked for a ride to the hospital to detox from alcohol. Rescue crews took him to the Roger Williams Medical Center.

A dog was taken to the shelter and later returned to its owner after the animal control officer responded to a call about a loose dog on Prudence Lane.

A woman called to report that she and her friends were being harassed by a man at Main and Norbert streets.

Saturday, Nov. 28

A Katie Drive woman called police at 3:36 a.m. after someone rang her doorbell and then ran off. A similar call came in from Buffalo Avenue at 5:39 a.m.

Police were asked to disperse a highly intoxicated woman from a Child Street address. The call came in just after 11 a.m.

A caller told police that a man was staring at children using the playground at Water and Baker streets. He was gone on police arrival.

A road rage incident was called in on Market Street.

Police looked for but could not locate a man dressed all in black who was yelling at traffic on Wood Street just after 4:30 p.m.

A caller complained about a large gathering on Detroit Avenue. Police checked it out and found no issues.

A caller from Seymour Street told police that a man had been walking up and down the street for the past hour.

Sunday, Nov. 29

Police got a call just after midnight concerning a belligerent man who refused to leave a Water Street address.

A Detroit Avenue resident called at 12:39 a.m. to report hearing loud music and voices nearby.

A Ridgeway Drive resident reported a missing rug that might have been inadvertently misplaced by movers.

A juvenile, 16, was charged with simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, after an anonymous caller reported at 8:01 p.m. that a group of juveniles were arguing on Davis Street.

A Child Street woman came in to headquarters to report that there was an unwanted man at her home.
