Warren police logs: Four arrested over New Year weekend

Monday, Dec. 28
An Emery Drive resident complained that a neighbor placed a security camera on a utility pole in the street. A police officer checked out the camera, determined it was a dummy, and contacted National Grid to remove it.
A loose dog call came in from Market Street just before 1:30 p.m.

A Barden Lane woman called police after she received a spam text message.

Nathan R. Medina, 22, of 101 Water St., was charged with driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, after police pulled him over at Water and Miller streets just before 2 p.m.

An older yorkshire terrier was reunited with its owner after a caller from Wood Street reported "finding" the dog at 2:42 p.m.

A Nobert Street homeowner reported that someone spray-painted his home.

A caller complained that a group of three boys were acting unruly and yelling at Market and Benefit streets, at 6:18 p.m.

Police officers called for a tow truck after a car ended up in the marsh on Market Street. Police were alerted to the mishap after an anonymous caller reported that the car ran a red light shortly before ending up in the marsh.

A Water Street man was taken to Roger Williams Medical Center for alcohol intoxication after a 911 operator received a call for help from his residence.

Tuesday, Dec. 29
A caller from Child Street complained that his neighbor was dumping trash into his company's Dumpster. Police spoke to the neighbor and advised him of the complaint.

A Vernon Street woman reported receiving a rubber check.

A Child Street woman accused a delivery driver of stealing a package from her property.

A Croade Street man who had a problem with his neighbor's security camera called police to complain. Police checked out the camera and noted that it was pointing downward at the owner's fence, and that there was no issue.

Rescue crews took a man to Rhode Island Hospital for alcohol intoxication, after a caller asked police to remove an unwanted person from a Sowamsett Avenue home.

Wednesday, Dec. 30
A Child Street woman complained about her upstairs neighbors, who she said were arguing and possibly throwing items around.

A caller from a Metacom Avenue cell phone store said an employee stole two phones from the store.

Tyannah M. Martinez, 23, of 344 Child St., was charged with failure to stop for an accident, obstructing an officer and driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, third or subsequent offense, after police received multiple calls about an accident on Market Street at 12:30 p.m.

A Market Street woman reported the theft of her phone.

A caller reported an erratic driver in an Amazon Prime van on Metacom Avenue.

A caller complained about a man loitering at Metacom Avenue and Child Street, but police found no trace of him.

Thursday, Dec. 31
A caller to the town's TIP 411 line reported "extremely loud crashing, banging and fighting" on Main Street.

An Arlington Avenue woman told police that she was being harassed by her boyfriend's ex.

A Schoolhouse Road man called to complain that his wife had been the victim of a financial scam.

A Child Street woman reported being harassed by a neighbor.

Several people stuck in a Main Street elevator were freed at 3:34 p.m., 14 minutes after calling for help.

Police alerted their counterparts in Bristol to a report they'd received of an aggressive driver headed south on Metacom Avenue.

Callers from Asylum Road and Denver Avenue complained about fireworks in the area.

Police were called to Long Wharf Drive for a disturbance that turned out to be a misunderstanding among neighbors.

Police spoke to a Long Lane resident after a neighbor complained about a fire pit on the property. Police noted that the burn was controlled and the homeowner had a hose nearby.

A caller complained about a driver going too slow on Water Street, at Miller.

Robert A. Lombardi, 39, of 12 Hope St., front, was charged with domestic violence/simple assault and/or battery, and domestic violence/disorderly conduct, after police were called to Kinnicutt Avenue at 11:18 p.m. for a report of a man hitting a woman.

A Main Street woman complained about hearing loud noises from the apartment above her.

Friday, Jan. 1
A caller complained that a large piece of furniture had somehow ended up in the middle of Metacom Avenue.

A juvenile girl reported just before 9 p.m. that an intoxicated man was following her and her brother.

A loud music complaint came in from Davis Street.
Saturday, Jan. 2

A Child Street caller complained about a neighbor's loud TV.

Police dispersed at least one person after multiple callers reported a disturbance between two men at Baker and Water streets at 1:42 a.m.

A Kickemuit Avenue man asked that police remove his brother from the property.

Outdoor furniture, as well as damage to a balcony, was reported at a Water Street address.

Charbel B. Zoghby, 21, of 15 Cutler St., Apt. 7, was charged with domestic violence/assault by strangulation, domestic violence/simple assault and/or battery, domestic violence/refusal to relinquish a telephone, domestic violence/vandalism, and domestic violence/disorderly conduct, after a distraught woman knocked on the door of a Cutler Street home at 12:20 p.m., seeking help.

A woman reported being struck by a man as they drove on Metacom Avenue, but ultimately declined to pursue the matter.

Sunday, Jan. 3
A caller complained that people using metal detectors on Market Street were damaging grass.

A Matthew Drive woman called police to report a sick or injured skunk in her yard.

A Main Street woman called police at 4:04 to report that her two-year-old son was locked in her car. Officers were able to gain access to the car at 4:22 p.m.

A caller complained that his dog was attacked by another on the East Bay Bike Path.

Police euthanized a deer after it was struck and injured by a car on Barton Avenue, near Manchester.

A caller complained that the driver of a grey Lexus was tailgating him and passed him.
