Warren police made five arrests and responded to a report of a woman hiding in bushes between April 24-31, 2023.

Warren PD: Five arrests, including one juvenile

Monday, April 24
People walking through Wood Street at 4:24 p.m. caused a stir with neighbors but police learned they were searching for a kitten, which was later found.

A call to 911 reported that someone had tried to break into a home around 8:41 p.m. The man reportedly banged on their door and then left in an unknown vehicle.

Tuesday, April 25
A reported scam involving someone impersonating AT&T was reported on Fatima Drive at 10:27 a.m.

Elisha Wagoner, 27, of Barrington, was arrested at 1:07 p.m. at Main and Greene Streets following a motor vehicle stop. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC of .15 or greater, first offense). She was arraigned and released later that afternoon.

Police dispersed two women who were reportedly inside a vehicle at Jamiel’s Park at 3:30 p.m. A caller reported hearing them talk about “slashing tires.” They were advised not to return.

Kenneth A Coelho, III, of Swansea, Mass., was arrested on a warrant on West Street at 5:53 p.m. He was turned over to the custody of Bristol PD.
Loitering juveniles were dispersed from Turner Street at 6:17 p.m.

A woman was transported to the hospital from Main Street at 6:20 p.m. for a mental evaluation after two people called stating that she was hiding in nearby bushes.

Police dispersed a man panhandling from Main Street at 7:39 p.m.

Wednesday, April 26
A man reported at 12:50 p.m. that another man had threatened to beat him up on Railroad Avenue. Police found it was only words that were exchanged.

A female was no trespassed from a Croade Street address at 4:47 p.m.

Thursday, April 27
A caller reported at 3:56 p.m. that belongings that had been stored in a garage unit which had been recently sold were now missing.

The building official was notified of an accident involving a car hitting a building on Child Street at 5:50 p.m. The driver had unknown injuries at the time of the report.

Friday, April 28
Ten people came into headquarters at 8:04 a.m. to report someone violating a court order on Schoolhouse Road.

A Vernon Street resident informed police at 9:43 a.m. that a bicycle had been taken from his yard.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on Main Street following a physical struggle occurring over a laptop. They were charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct.

A caller on Wood Street said that there were people in a backyard using a crossbow at 12:49 p.m. Police advised them that the weapon was not allowable under town ordinance and they agreed to pack it up.

A passerby told police at 5:17 p.m. that the ATM at Bank of America on Market Street had been spray-painted with vulgar comments. Police informed the bank.

Saturday, April 29
Justin Silvia, 35, of Warren, was arrested following an incident on Croade Street at 6:31 p.m. He was charged with one count of domestic violence (assault with a dangerous weapon in a residence), threatening a public official, and one count of domestic violence (disorderly conduct, first offense). He was arraigned and transported to the ACI the following morning.

Sunday, April 30
The animal control officer helped wrangle several loose goats near Child Street and Serpentine Road at 11:55 a.m.

Monday, April 31
Nikolai Fujimoto, 31, of Providence, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at Main and Haile Streets at 12:31 a.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. He was arraigned and released to the custody of a friend later that morning.
