Warren Firefighters Memorial is this Sunday

The annual Warren Firefighters Memorial will begin on Sunday, June 9 with a Mass at St. Mary of the Bay at 8 a.m.

Following the services, a parade line will form outside of the fire and police headquarters on Joyce Street, beginning at 11 a.m. The parade will kick off from Croade Street, proceed north on Main Street until it hits Water Street, where it will turn south onto Water Street and march until turning onto State Street.

The parade will then conclude at the Town Common, where a ceremony will be held for members of the department who have passed away during the previous year. Those members include:

Anthony Primiano (Engine 1 & Rescue); David St. Ours (Engine 2); Louis Lombardi (Engine 3); Henry Girard (Former Engine 4); William Rooks (Engine 6); and Stephen Asselin (Ladder Co. & Rescue).

“We ask that Town residents come out and support the dedicated members of Warren Fire and Rescue, who respond to nearly 600 fire calls and 2,600 EMS calls annually,” said Fire Chief James Sousa.
