Michael D. Laroche of Warren passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. He was the son of the late Joseph & Mary (Januario) Laroche. Michael is survived by his two sisters, Cynthia Laroche of Portsmouth and Claudia (Laroche) & her husband Ron Nadeau of Farmington, CT.; and his brother, Kevin and his wife Karen Laroche of Warren.

He is also survived by his nephew, Sean Nadeau and his wife Jenn of Colchester, Ct.; two nieces, Nicole Nadeau of Farmington, CT and Nicole (Laroche) Tvrdik of Riverside, RI; three grand-nieces, Samantha and Mackenzie Nadeau, and Evelyn Tvrdik; and one grand-nephew, Dylan Tvrdik. Michael was very well loved by his family and many other relatives and friends.

Michael worked at Sunshine Oil Company in Bristol as a pipefitter/journeyman for over 33 years before his retirement. Michael lived in Warren throughout his life and worked on some community projects.

In 1996 and 1997, Michael and his brother Kevin both helped build two floats for the Bristol 4th of July parades depicting the past & present history of Warren to celebrate Warren's 250th Anniversary. The floats won the Most Beautiful and Best in Parade awards both years.

Michael also helped paint some of the fire hydrants in Warren at that time.

Michael was a very talented artist and enjoyed drawing, pottery, creating metal works and also loved doing carpentry.

He loved outdoor activities like biking, hiking and just being by the water. Colt State Park was his favorite place.  Michael loved the Boston Red Sox and always got a new "Official Cap" every year.

Michael and his family would like to thank the VNS Home & Hospice team of nurses, aides, doctors, and everyone for their exceptional, and very loving care of him over the last several months. They are truly amazing people who have answered a very special calling, especially his nurse, Celia, who helped Michael and our entire family to get through this very difficult time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26 in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St., Warren, RI. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
