Madeline (Fleet) Soares, 93, of Warren, died Friday, July 24, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Manor in Bristol.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Soares.
She was born in Warren, a daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Dallaire) Fleet. She had worked for the former Converse Rubber Manufacturing for many years.
Mrs. Soares lived in Warren all of her life. She was a parishioner of the former St. Jean the Baptiste Church, now St. Mary of the Bay Church.
She volunteered at the soup kitchen in Bristol and eventually took a job in the daycare there watching the children. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and she liked traveling.
She is survived by her children, Carol Kerwin and her husband Thomas of Seekonk and Richard Soares of Pawtucket; and her step-son Joseph Soares Jr. of Bristol. She was the sister of Roger Fleet of Wyoming, RI and Ronald Fleet of Anderson SC. Mrs. Soares was the grandmother of Shawn, Erin and Jennifer and she was also the great-grandmother of Zachary, Ella Jacob, Blake, Lauren, Sage, Jace, Andrew and Tyler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 28, at 10 am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.
Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
