To the editor:
Though I appreciate the members of the Warren Town Council trying to appease all parties by being everything to everyone, I disagree with this approach. John Hanley has presented the most suitable approach; fly only the core flags. We are seeking unity, not division and acknowledging one group over another fails that. We are Americans first, Rhode Islanders second and the POW/MIA represents those Americans and Rhode Islanders who are no longer here to voice their concerns or advocate for their cause. I believe these flags are the symbols we can all acknowledge.
