Joseph Noonan, 83, Warren

Joseph J. Noonan, 83, of Warren, died Monday, July 6,2020 at Heatherwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Newport.

He was the husband of Agnes R. (Amaral) Noonan; they were married for over 59 years.

Joseph was born in Jersey City, N.J., the son of the late Daniel and Louise (Doring) Noonan.

Joseph worked in the Shipping Department for the American Insulated Wire Co. for over 30 years before retiring.

He had been a resident of Warren since 1966, coming from New Jersey.

Mr. Noonan was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and going the horse and dog tracks to watch the races. He also enjoyed walking. In New Jersey, he worked as a shoe shine boy for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Alves and her husband Bruce of Warren.

Mr. Noonan was the grandfather of Kayla Alves and Kyle Alves, and the brother of the late Steven Noonan and the late Edith (Noonan).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 at 10 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

Arrangements by Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, Warren.
