Helen Prendergast Hawkinson, M.A., CAGS, LCMHC, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021 at the age of 92 in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, accompanied by family. She was the wife of the late Robert K. (“Bob”) Hawkinson, to whom she was married for 62 years.

Helen was born in Queens, NY to parents James and Ann (Gibbons) Prendergast, and was a long-time resident of both Providence and Warren, RI.

She is survived by her son, Bobby, his wife, Kathy, and stepdaughter, Kristina; daughter, Christine and her son, Christopher; siblings, Anne (Mitchell) and Nora and Bill (Crandall); Larry and Carole (Prendergast); and Joy (Prendergast); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob); brother (James); brother-in-law (Edward Mitchell); and parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Saturday, Feb. 20 at St. Mary of the Bay Roman Catholic Church, 645 Main St., Warren.
