Gary K. Pacheco, 62, of Warren, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Lorraine (Benoit) Pacheco and the late David Pacheco. Gary was the loving husband of 38 years to Christine (Shoren) Pacheco.

As a Regional Sales Manager for the Panasonic Energy Corporation of America for over 20 years, Gary was able to travel and meet many people.

Gary was raised in Bristol and moved to Warren over 35 years ago, where he had been an active coach in the community. He was a former president and coach of the Warren Little League, and former CYO Basketball Coach.

He loved to play golf and was active in a league and with his friends and family. He and his wife loved to travel the world. Gary also had a passion for woodworking and having a good laugh.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Erica and Josh Pacheco. Gary was the beloved brother of David Pacheco (Celeste) and Judy Camelo (John) of Bristol. He had several nieces and nephews which he loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 1 to 4 pm at Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI. All social distancing rules will be followed, masks must be worn by all those attending. See www.wjsmithfh.com.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
