EAST PROVIDENCE — The sixth annual Providence Folk Festival actually took place for the first time in East Providence when the gathering of some 20 local and regional musicians occurred Sunday, Aug. 25, at Larisa Park in Riverside.

Prior to taking up perch in city, the first five editions of the festival, which started in 2014, were held at Roger Williams Park in Providence.

East Providence Post and eastbayri.com contributing photographer Julie Furtado shot the accompanying gallery of photos.
