Gabriel G. Nunes, 78, of Warren, died Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Evergreen House Health Center.

He was the husband of Gayle (Baxter) Nunes, they were married for over 54 years.

He was born in Providence a son of the late George R. and Margaret (Ferrazzano) Nunes.

Mr. Nunes was a self- employed Dairy Farmer and Mechanic for many years.

He was a lifelong Warren resident, and a former parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son Todd Nunes and his wife Rita of Warren, his daughter Melissa Arnold and her husband Paul of Bothell, Washington.

He was the brother of George R. “Choppy” Nunes of Swansea, MA, Filomena Watson and Marcianna Nunes both of Riverside.
Gabriel was the grandfather of Elizabeth Arnold, Nathan Arnold both of Bothell WA., and the step grandfather of Angela Bergen, Andrew Carlson.
He was also the step great grandfather of Aveena Bergen and Evaly Bergen both of Bow, NH.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 3,2020 at 11:00am in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI.
Burial will follow in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, 1049 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling hours are Monday March 2, 2020 from 4 to 7 pm in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren RI.
