Eleanor C. Maisano, 97, of Warren

Eleanor C. (Cicerchia) Maisano, 97, of Warren passed away peacefully in Newport on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021. She was the wife of the late John Maisano, Jr.

Born in Warren, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Marianna (Natale) Cicerchia.

Eleanor graduated from Quirk High School. She and her husband John owned and operated Maisano’s Bakery for many years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson John. Eleanor enjoyed spending her free time at the Warren Senior Center. She was a wiz in the kitchen, known especially for her rice pudding.

She leaves behind her son, John Maisano, III (Kathleen), her grandson John Maisano, IV (Jae Young Choi), and her great-grandson, Gian Maisano.

In addition to her husband John and her parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her siblings: Michael Cicerchia, Ann Perkins, Madeline Vittullo, Jane Mainella, Josephine Muller, and Betty Maisano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will be in St. Alexander’s Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to St. Alexander’s Church, 221 Main Street, Warren, RI 02885.
