Tiverton school committee forum is Thursday

Posted

The League of Women Voters and several other sponsoring organizations will hold a forum for Tiverton School Committee candidates this Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Tiverton High School auditorium. It runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Voters will select three new non-partisan committee members when they head to the polls in a week and a half. Candidates include Diane M. Farnworth, Jordan Lee Reilly, Kimberly A. Paquette, Michael C. DeCotis, Brendon J. Andrade and Jocelyn M. Sherman.

The forum had originally been scheduled to be held in the Tiverton Public Library, but organizers changed the venue after a recent town council forum drew a standing room only crowd.

The forum is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Newport County, East Bay Media Group, the publisher of the Sakonnet Times, Newport This Week, AARP, Involved Newport and the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.
