Win a Westport built nesting pram

Posted

Enter to win a hand-made wooden pram while supporting clean water! Continuing a tradition of the Westport Fishermen’s Association, the Buzzards Bay Coalition is holding a drawing for a hand-made wooden Eastport Nesting Pram, open to all. Proceeds support the work of the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

Built in Westport by Jim Sturges, Tom Peirce, and Jack Reynolds, the Eastport Pram is one of the most popular small dinghies in the world. Classic good looks, standout performance, and ease of construction are hallmarks of this Chesapeake Light Craft design. The pram is split into two sections so the forward section can nest completely in the aft section for compact storage. The nested pram measures just 4’ 9” × 4’ 2” × 21”: small enough to stow on the deck of a cruising yacht or in your shed or apartment.

Tickets for the drawing are available online and at the Coalition’s New Bedford office (114 Front St.), as well as at the Horseneck Point Life-Saving Station (241 East Beach Rd., Westport) until the station closes on August 31. To purchase tickets online, visit: www.savebuzzardsbay.org/WinAPram.

The drawing will be open until September 29 when the winning ticket will be picked at the Fishermen’s Clambake in Little Compton. More information on the clambake can be found at www.savebuzzardsbay.org/clambake. Drawing entrants do not have to be present at the clambake in order to win.
