Tiverton senior wins bronze at state meet
Tiverton senior Katie Richardson placed third in the state in the javelin throw at the state track meet at Conley Stadium on Saturday. Richardson, who has been throwing the javelin since freshman year, made a throw of 114.05 feet.

Tiverton senior Katie Richardson placed third in the state in the javelin throw at the state track meet at Conley Stadium on Saturday. Richardson, who has been throwing the javelin since freshman year, made a throw of 114.05 feet.
"I've had the help of amazing coaches," she said after placing third. "I just wanted to focus on form and it brought me luck, which is awesome."
The bronze medal was Richardson's only top three finish during her career. She competed at the freshman state championship and at the state meet the last two years.
