Tiverton Police Report: Tiverton Police: Narcotics possession; fryer oil dumping

Tuesday, Nov. 26

Nicole B. Leduc, 26, of Sharon, Mass., was arrested on a charge of vandalism at 2:40 p.m. at a Hilton Street address.

James C. Marshall, 66, of 91 Bonniefield Drive, Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence at 7:43 p.m. after a two-car crash on Main Road.

A dog was hit by a car near the baseball field a the recreation center. The injured dog was taken to the vet.

A deer hit by a car on Bulgarmarsh Road had to be put down due to its injuries.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Gregory F. Darmody, 47, of 144 Colonial Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct at 4:53 a.m. at a Hambly Road address.

Speeding cars and motorcycles were reported on Dewey Avenue at 9:55 a.m.

At 1:12 p.m., police arrested Christopher Huntley, 23, of Pawtucket, on a charge of possession of scheduled narcotics at the Tiverton Casino Hotel.

Thursday, Nov. 28

Police responded to Lil’ Bear Lounge on Main Road at 12:47 a.m. for a report of a fight in progress. Rescue was dispatched for a bleeding man but he refused treatment.

A Roseland Drive resident reported a Thanksgiving morning visit by two goats to his porch at 9:58 a.m. The goats were retrieved by their owners.

Syringes were found near Bulgarmarsh Road.

A fight was reported along Stafford Road at 8:04 p.m. but the combatants left before police arrived.

Norman J. Yelle, 61, of Fall River, was arrested on a charge of larceny under $1,500 at 9:24 p.m., at the Tiverton Casino Hotel.

Friday, Nov. 29.

The owner of Macray’s Seafood on Stafford Road, reported that someone dumped containers of waste fryer oil at his property.

A report of debris in the roadway on Brayton Road. Police report, “Not debris — someone’s Thanksgiving leftovers” put by the side of the road.

Sunday, Dec. 1

A rollover accident was reported at 4:18 a.m. on Route 24 near Fish Road. See separate story.

At 5:07 p.m., police and rescue responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Bulgarmarsh Road. Two people were transported to St. Anne’s Hospital. a utility pole was left leaning over the road, held up by a guy wire.
