Monday, July 20

Courtney L. Raposa, 38, of Fall River, was arrested on charges of failure to stop for an accident involving a damaged vehicle and driving without a license at 8:30 pm on Stafford Road.

Police and rescue were called to the Riverside Drive boat launch ramp at 3:09 pm for a report of a vehicle in the water under the bridge, mostly submerged, nobody in the vehicle. “Another truck is trying to get that vehicle out of the water. By 3:18 pm, police reported that “vehicle removed … being towed by AAA.”

At 3:15 pm, police responded to a Main Road business for a suspicious vehicle parked in back with a gun in a holster visible on the front seat. The car was determined to have been stolen from a Fall River location.

Police were notified at 6:02 pm of an incident involving threats made at the Tiverton Casino.

At 6:22 pm, police were called to the end of State Avenue for a report of youths rolling tires across the road into the Bourne Mill parking lot.

At 10:34 pm, people went to Main Road near the Pocasset Funeral Home for a call about two people on a hoverboard, no lights.

Tuesday, July 21

Calvin Mitchell, 55, of 720 Windwood Drive, Tiverton, was arrested on charge of domestic assault by strangulation, domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone, domestic vandalism, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic violation of a no-contact order, domestic simple assault, and on two warrants.

A Bellview Avenue resident reported an unemployment scam.

Police and rescue went to the area of 315 Stafford Road at 1:22 pm for a two-car accident. One person was transported to St. Anne's Hospital.

A caller complained of ATVs in the area of Bramble Way at 4:04 pm.

At 10:09 pm, police responded to a loud music complaint on Randolph Lane.

Wednesday, July 22

Jason D. Smith, 37, of Fairhaven, was arrested at 7:07 pm on Stafford Road on a bench warrant from 3^rd District Court.

Michael Peixoto, 43, of 136 Lepes Road, Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of procuring alcoholic beverages for underage persons at 9:29 pm on Lepes Road.

At 8:19 a,. a Rock Street caller reported a coyote in the area with an animal in its mouth.

At 1:06 pm. Police and rescue went to the south entrance to Nanaquaket Road for an accident — a car struck a pole; one person suffered minor injuries.

At 5:52 pm, police received complaints of a pickup truck speeding and spinning tires on Bellview Avenue.

Thursday, July 23

Kyle M. Pereira, 36, of Fall River, was arrested on a charge of domestic simple assault at 2:52 pm at a Redwood Drive location.

Brent A. Meaney, 35, of Dartmouth, Mass., was arrested on a warrant from another department and on charges of disorderly conduct, vandalism and driving with a suspended license.

At 2 am, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle at the Walgreen's on Main Road. Police report “party is changing a diaper.”

Vandalism to a vehicle was reported on Arrowhead Drive at 7:53 am.

A Warren Avenue resident called for assistance with a skunk trapped inside a cat cage. Tha animal control officer released the skunk.

At 5:20 pm, a 911 caller reported a two car motor vehicle accident in the area of 847 Crandall Road. Two people decline transport to the hospital, one was evaluated for injuries, then declined transport. Both vehicles were towed.

Friday, July 24

Craig Michael Correia, 49, of 109 Kaufman Road, Tiverton, was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct at 2:01 am at that address.

Jessica K. Fernandes, 38, of 301 Bulgarmarsh Road, Tiverton, was arrested on a Superior Court bench warrant at 9:15 pm at Fogland Beach. Police had gone to the beach in response to a 911 suspicious vehicle report involving a UHaul van.

Police checked on a 9:50 am report of a black truck dumping trash on Borden Lane at Main Road.

A Kenyon Road caller contacted police for advice concerning some kind of animal digging holes in his yard.

A 911 caller on Old Bulgarmarsh Road reported neighbor issues involving threats.

A 3:39 pm 911 call alerted police that a car left in drive had crashed through a window at Don's Marine, 2503 Main Road. Nobody was hurt.

Police went to Highland Road at 7:35 pm for a loud and escalating argument between a man and woman at the tower across from Town Hall.

A Main Road pizza shop called 911 to report problems with a man who refused to leave at 8:21 pm. He took off on a motorcycle into Fall River before police could arrive.

At 9:34 pm, police and rescue responded to a 911 call reporting an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the corner of Eagleville and Fish roads. They arrived to find the motorcycle and its driver on the roadway. Police shut down Fish Road and called for a helicopter med-flight. A helicopter from Boston arrived at the landing site behind the Knights of Columbus at 10:13 pm and transported the patient to Rhode Island Hospital.

Saturday, July 25

Loud music on the back patio was reported on Windwood Drive at 1:52 am. At 2:16 am, “music is back on.”

Police were called to Fogland Beach at 10:20 am for a person refusing to pay to get onto the beach.

At 12:53 pm, a caller reported that a tree fell on a vehicle on Canonicus Street.

Vehicles broken into overnight were reported on Bay Street.

A “jet ski struggling” was reported in the Bolducs Lane area.

Monica Connors, 58, of 216 Crandall Road, Tiverton, was arrested on a charge of failure to stop for an accident involving damage to a vehicle at 6:25 pm on Bulgarmarsh Road.

Jillian Preece, 24, of 301 Bulgarmarsh Road, Tiverton, was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic vandalism and resisting arrest at 7:56 pm at the Dadson Mobile Home Owners Association.

At 8:24 pm, a Fish Road resident reported that the driver of an Audi tried to run him over twice and threw rocks at him.

Hambly Road callers reported fireworks at 8:57 pm.

John D. Medeiros, 26, 51 Walnut St., Tiverton, was arrested on a Superior Court bench warrant at 9:30 pm at that address. Shortly before, he had accidentally called 911; he told Tiverton Police he had meant to turn off his phone but had instead clicked emergency. Police checked and discovered the warrant.

At 10:58 pm, a South Court Road resident reported teenagers on a roof.

Sunday, July 26

At 12:18 am, a caller reported people who do not appear to be the owners trying to get into a sailboat behind Coastal Roasters.

Loud music was reported on Windwood Drive at 12:44 am.

Illegal parking was reported on Fogland Beach at 1:49 pm.

A large group of people were reported on private property on Nanaquaket Road. Police advised them to pack up their belongings.

The Coast Guard called to say they had received a distress call from a person with an address on Seapowet Avenue. Police contacted the person — “No issues.”

At 9:01 pm, police assisted the Tiverton Casino with ejections and a no trespass order.

At 10:12 pm, a Crandall Road caller reported “multiple males running at the vehicle with weapons as the caller was looking at his GPS.” Asked if he would like to speak to an officer, the caller declined.

Monday, July 27

A Haskins Road resident called at 1:29 am to report somebody pounding on the door. Police checked but found nothing.
