Tiverton police logs: Several drug-related arrests this week

Monday, April 18

A walk-in asked that police help keep the peace at an Ash Avenue home.

A caller from Carpenter Street reported a missing person, but police called the report unfounded.

A walk-in from Tiverton reported a neighborhood dispute on Stafford Road.

A caller reported a landlord/tenant issue on Crandall Road. Police informed the caller that it was a civil dispute.

Tuesday, April 19

Police logged several calls regarding trees and wires down on Main Road, Lake Road and Beech Avenue.

A caller reported an unwanted party on State Avenue just after 9:30 a.m.

Anthony N. Socci, 46, of 69 Hick St., East Providence, was charged with domestic violence/criminal violation of a no contact order, following a car stop on Mill Street at 12:19 p.m.

A walk-in from Fairfield Avenue reported harassment and threats.

A caller to 911 reported a domestic incident on Lake Road at 8:05 p.m. Police investigated.

Wednesday, April 20

Ian M. Walker, 45, of 419 S. Lake Road, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic simple assault and/or battery, after he walked in to the Tiverton police station at 12:10 a.m.

A caller to 911 reported road rage on Crandall Road just after 12:30 p.m.

A caller reported an erratic driver on Stafford Road just before 1 p.m. Police looked for the involved car without success.

A caller reported road rage on Main Road just after 3:30 p.m.

A walk-in reported a neighbor dispute on Pelham Road at 6:07 p.m.

A caller complained of an erratic driver on West Main Road in Little Compton, heading toward Tiverton, at 8:15 p.m.

Thursday, April 21

Jennifer Darling, 45, of 39 Morning Dove Trail, Tiverton, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, BAC unknown, first offense, after police pulled her over on Bulgarmarsh Road at 1:16 a.m.

A caller reported an erratic driver on Route 24 at 2:30 a.m.

A caller from Lake Road reported vandalism at 8:17 a.m.

Michael Watkins, 41, of 135 Liberty, New Bedford, was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge after police pulled him over on Stafford Road at 5:28 p.m.

Friday, April 22

A walk-in asked police to keep the peace at a Main Road address. Police advised the complainant that it was a civil matter.

A caller from Neck Road reported larceny.

Saturday, April 23

Alyssa Lopez, 29, of 4 Independence Way, Apt. 403, Franklin, Ma., was charged wtih domestic disorderly conduct and domestic simple assault and/or battery, after police were called to the Tiverton Casino Hotel at 12:46 a.m. for a disorderly person.

Michael J. Cardoza, 33, of 117 William St., Apt. 3, Fall River, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, BAC .15 or greater, after police pulled him over on Canonicus Street at 3:12 a.m.

Junior Joseph, 33, of 1430 Tremont St., Apt. B8, Boston, was charged with trespassing after a caller reported an assault at the Tiverton Casino Hotel at 4:17 a.m.

A caller to 911 reported an erratic driver on Route 24. Police referred it to another agency.

Mark Gonsalves, 51, of 571 Hope St., Providence, was arrested on a Rhode Island Superior Court bench warrant after police responded to Route 24 at 7:41 p.m. for a disabled auto.

Nicholas Surdis, 27, of 50 New York Ave., Somerset, was charged with trespassing after police were called to the Tiverton Casino Hotel at 8:42 p.m.

A caller to 911 reported a disturbance on Main Road just before 9 p.m.

Sunday, April 24

Robert J. Hill Jr., 30, of 230 Ohio Ave., Apt. 3, Providence, was charged with possession of more than one ounce of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, 10 grams or less, after police pulled him over on Tiverton Casino Boulevard at 2:36 a.m.

A walk-in from Hambly Road reported a scam.

A caller reported a neighborhood dispute on Cottage Avenue at 12:03 p.m.

A caller from Tower Hill Road reported a disturbance at 1:28 p.m.

Edward M. Bednarz, 50, of 27 Hutton St., Apt. 1, Fall River, was arrested on a Second Division District Court bench warrant after police pulled him over on Main Road at 6:23 p.m.

Monday, April 25

Dyemin-Alexis Tedisha Dunkley, 21, of 122 Cambridge St., Apt. 1, Fall River, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, 10 grams or less, after police investigated a suspicous auto on Mill Street at 12:19 a.m.

Riley J. Mucha, 23, of 44 Kennedy Road, West Brookfield, Ma., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, BAC .15 or greater, after police responded to a disabled auto on Route 24 at 2:13 a.m.
