A caller from Frank Drive reported an accident with no injuries at 8:23 a.m.

A walk-in from Mill Street reported fraud at 10:04 p.m.

A caller from Stafford Road reported an accident with no injuries on Stafford Road at 4:33 p.m.

A walk-in from Brayton Road reported a larceny at 5:18 p.m.

Ranae M. Alves, 57, 120A Gibbs Ave, Wareham, Mass., was charged with DUI of liquor, .15 or greater (first offense) after police pulled her over on Main Road at 9:38 p.m.

Tuesday, July 19

Shane W. Priest, 30, of 73 Fairfield Ave., was charged with DUI of liquor, BAC unknown (first offense) after being pulled over on Bulgarmarsh Road at 2:10 a.m.

A caller reported a hit and run accident at the Dunkin Donuts on Stafford Road at 1:19 p.m. No injuries were reported.

A caller from Laura Street asked for officers to keep the peace at his location at 2:05 p.m.

A caller from Bismark Avenue reported trespassing at 5:46 p.m.

A caller from Mill Street lodged a fireworks complaint at 10:33 p.m.

William Figueroa, 54, of 27 Boutwell St., Apt. 3, Fall River, was charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance (10 grams or less), after police pulled him over on Tiverton Casino Boulevard at 2:40 a.m.

Laura L. Shaw, 42, of 96 Old Colony Ave., Apt. 211, East Taunton, Mass., was charged with DUI of liquor or drugs, .15 or greater (first offense) and operation of a vehicle under a foreign license during suspension or revocation, after police pulled her over on Stafford Road at 4:53 a.m.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
