Martha C. (Wordell) Wood, 74, of Tiverton, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Santos) Wordell and Harold Wordell.

She was a certified nursing assistant for many years and former co-owner of Village Laundry.  She enjoyed Bingo, sea glassing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her husband Donald, she leaves behind three children, Stephanie Wood of Tiverton, Brendon Wood of Jamaica Plain, and Robert Rego (wife Lori) of Fall River.  She also leaves her grandchildren, Ethan, Austin, Aidan, Addison and Kyle.  In addition, her siblings, Elizabeth Snell of Florida, Henry Wordell of Maine, Judy Oliver, Brenda Pacheco and Donna Cabral of Fall River, Beverly Travis of Middletown and Eldridge "Butch" Wordell of Portsmouth; along with many nieces. She was also the sister of the late Ruth Leite and Harold Wordell Jr.

She will be remembered for her carefree spirit, stubbornness and simply for the love she had for her family.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Southcoast Cancer Center for their kindness and compassion.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road, Tiverton, with a service at 12:30 pm.
