Little Compton Police: Slip-sliding in the snow
Tuesday, Dec. 3
At 7:42 a.m., while snow was falling, a vehicle went off the road and into a ditch and had to be towed. Nobody was hurt.
At 8:45 a.m., two vehicles went off the road and had to be towed. The state Department of Transportation was asked to treat the slioppery area.
Wednesday, Dec. 4
at 3:41 p.m., police responded to a 911 call (open line) on Colebrook Road. The call proved accidental — the resident said it must have happened when she tossed her phone into her pocketbook.
A caller reported that a phone scammer claimed to be calling from a company and threatened that an arrest warrant will be issued if no response was received.
Thursday, Dec. 5
At 9:19 a.m., police served an arrest warrant on Samantha D. DeMarco, 46, of Fall River on a charge of abandonment of an animal.
Friday, Dec. 6
Damage to a wall was reported (location not specified).
Saturday, Dec. 7
At 10:02 p.m., police responded to an accident in which a car struck a deer. Tiverton Police took over since it was just on that side of the town line.
