Little Compton Police: Domestic assault charged

Police conducted a well-being check at a West Main Road residence at 5:36 am.

Wednesday, Jan. 13

At 6:49 am, police went to the intersection of Fairfields Drive and West Main Road after a vehicle struck a deer. The deer had to be killed; the vehicle was towed.

A Tiverton driver was cited for driving with an expired license at 4:26 pm after a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Sakonnet Point Road and Bailey’s Ledge Road at 4:26 pm. The vehicle was towed.

Thursday, Jan. 14

A New Bedford motorist was cited for driving with a suspended license after a 3:11 pm motor vehicle stop on Crandall Road at the town line. The vehicle was towed.

Friday, Jan. 15

A Revere, Mass., resident was cited for driving without a license after a 7:41 pm traffic stop on West Main Road near Old Main Road. The vehicle was towed.

At 11:40 pm, a 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance on Sakonnet Trail. There, officers (with backup from Westport Police), arrested Sareena Marie Carey, 26, of Talent, Oregon, on charges of domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism.

Saturday, Jan. 16

A motorist came to the station at 7:49 am to notify police that he had struck a tree while driving on Colebrook Road.

Sunday, Jan. 17

A license plate found on the roadway was turned in to police at 9:55 am.

A credit card found at the John C. Whitehead Preserve was brought to the police station at 5:17 pm.
