Little Compton Police: Deer hit, surfers served

A vehicle struck and killed two deer on the east side of West Main Road just north of Sakonnet Vineyards at around 6:30 p.m. The vehicle left under its own power; DEM was notified.

Thursday, Jan. 9

In response to a 12:17 p.m. 911 call, an officer went to Amy Hart Path to assist a driver in a vehicle crying because she was lost. The motorist was driven to her Little Compton destination, and later transported to the hospital.

Friday, Dec. 10

A Grange Avenue resident called at 1:42 p.m.to report a dog that had suffered a bite of unknown origin.

Sunday, Jan. 12

A man came to the station at 12:23 p.m. to report that he had lost his wallet containing credit and ID cards.

At 1:01 p.m., a caller requested that an officer come to Ocean Drive to deal with “surfers parking in the area, running over the lawns.” The officer reported that a no trespass order will be served — “still out surfing.”
