Letter: Shot-tyrants continue with an almost religious fervor

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.” C.S. Lewis

Over the past two years, it has become abundantly clear that something is not right.

Under the pretense of “health and safety,” our so-called “leaders” have forced upon us one illogical, draconian measure after another. We were told “Get the shot, and you won’t get COVID! Ah, wait a minute, we mean you won’t get sick, wait, sorry, we mean you won’t get very sick...oops, hold on a moment...hmm, we mean you won’t die...well, ah, scratch that, you can die too, but get the jab, then a booster, then another, and another and DO IT NOW because we are losing our patience!”

Everyone, please think, people are not being told to take something as innocuous as, say an aspirin; no, they are being told to take a brand new medical treatment that cannot be reversed. A medical treatment that has a growing body of some very concerning evidence associated with it. However, regardless of how dangerous or safe it actually is, which is another conversation, the fact is the shot does not prevent infection, nor does it prevent transmission, so any logical justification for demanding other people get it disappears.

In a sane world, this would be enough to end this nightmare. Yet the shot-tyrants don’t stop; they continue with an almost religious fervor. They have complied, and therefore so must you, so they keep pushing. Vaccinate, vaccinate, VACCINATE! It is not mere promotion, which would be ok; no, it is pure unadulterated coercion, an obsessive madness really - do it or else! If you refuse? You will be fired, banned from restaurants, gyms, theaters, fined, forced to pay higher insurance premiums, subject to house arrest, denied life-saving healthcare, etc. And with a straight face, we are still told it is all about “health and safety”.

Perhaps the scariest part of all this craziness isn’t that some despotic politician institutes these tyrannical mandates; no, after all, at a certain level, that is to be expected. Of much greater concern is the number of our fellow citizens who support such iron-fisted measures.

For example, a recent poll showed that 59 percent of Democrats support home confinement for the “unvaccinated,” 55 percent support fines for those who refuse the jab, and nearly 50 percent support fines or even jail time for anyone challenging the government’s position on “vaccines.”

Let that sink in for a moment.

This wasn’t a survey conducted in North Korea, China, or Cuba; oh no, it was done right here in the good ol’ U.S. of A. And people wonder how freedom dies. People ask, “How could a society let (fill in the blank) happen?” Take a good look around my friend, perhaps even in the mirror, and you will get an idea.

How can anyone think such things are ok? The audacity is mind-blowing. People should be ashamed of themselves. Stop telling others what to do, stay out of other people’s business, and let people live their own lives. Surely we can all agree on that, can’t we?

Unfortunately, probably not, since there will always be those who want to dictate how others must live; there will always be tyrants, and people who are “just following orders.”

However, notwithstanding such concerns, I think there is reason to be optimistic. Major cracks are forming in their narrative, as more and more are being “red-pilled,” opening their eyes to reality and pushing back. Despite the lying fools in the media and government, these are not “hateful right-wing anti-vaxxers,” but instead, they are traditional liberals, independents, libertarians, conservatives, Blacks, whites, Hispanics, people of all races, creeds, and backgrounds who all have one thing in common - a love of liberty.

Rest assured, this kind of unity scares the daylights out of the establishment. A populace unafraid, united, and thinking for themselves? No! This can’t happen! We must keep them ignorant, scared, and preoccupied with attacking each other. Hurry! Change the narrative; we need another crisis. Russia, racism, sexism, climate change! Unfortunately for them, the jig is up, America, and much of the world has woken up to reality and realized the emperor has no clothes.
