Jo Anne A. Boivin, 64, of New Bedford, formerly of Tiverton, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Brandon Woods Nursing Home, New Bedford. She was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Albert and Lorraine (Bouchard) Boivin.

Jo Anne loved to paint and share her painting with family and friends. She worked for We Love Children and the Girl Scouts in the 1980s and donated her time in the later years at the Tiverton Senior Center, She also volunteered at Dr. Harnett’s office in Tiverton and James L. Maher Center in Newport. Jo Anne also received over 30 medals at the Special Olympics.

Jo Anne is survived by her siblings, Paul Boivin of Cranston, Doreen Rosinha and her husband Donald of Florida, and Richard Boivin of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.

Jo Anne’s funeral will be held on Friday, June 14, at 10 a.m. from the Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 316 Judson St. Tiverton. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m..
