Good leaders make decisions based on what’s right for their constituents and work across the aisle to reach consensus and gain support.
I’m running for State Representative in District 69 as an independent because I believe that politics in our country and in our state has become too divisive. We’ve seen the sad result of this division in recent acts of violence and it’s time for us to come together, not be driven apart.
We need our elected officials to be focused on the issues we care about and not the special interests their parties represent. Unlike my opponent, I am beholden to no one — no leadership team has donated to my campaign and no party bosses can tell me how to vote.
If elected, I pledge to answer only to my constituents and work hard every day for good policies that enhance the lives of the people in Bristol and Portsmouth.
Doug Gablinske
Bristol
Mr. Gablinske is an Independent candidate for House District 69.
