Disorderly conduct, DUIs top Portsmouth Police report

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Thursday, Jan. 30

Liam Robert Bradbury, 20, of 5 Becky Lane, Seekonk, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that occurred on Jan. 25 in Portsmouth. Bradbury turned himself in at 7:50 a.m. on an affidavit warrant police had issued. He was held at the police station and later transported to 2nd District Court in Newport for his arraignment.

Abraham Desmond Hughes, 18, of 30 Tucker Ave., Tiverton, was charged with disorderly conduct, also in connection with a Jan. 25 incident in town. Hughes turned himself in shortly before 11 a.m. on an affidavit warrant that had been issued, and later arraigned in 2nd District Court.

Friday, Jan. 31

Dwayne A. Smith, Jr., 37, of 30 Stephen Hopkins Court, Providence, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, at about 7:30 p.m. He was arrested following a motor vehicle accident in the area of West Main and Stringham roads, according to police. Smith was also cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test, police said.

Saturday, Feb. 1

Grace Christina Duclos, 19, of 34 Bramans Lane 2, was charged with DUI, first offense; and reckless driving/drag racing/eluding police, first offense. After observing Duclos commit a traffic violation in the area of Bristol Ferry Road at Boyds Lane shortly after midnight, officers tried to pull her over but she failed to stop, according to police. She subsequently crashed off the roadway, and the vehicle became disabled, police said. Duclos was also cited for refusing a chemical test.

Daniel DeSousa Massa, 33, of 728 State Road, Apt. 2C, Westport, was charged with DUI, first offense, after officers responded to the area of West Main Road and Route 24 around 3 a.m. to investigate a report of a disabled vehicle. Massa was also cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.
