Amy Jane Mello, 33, Tiverton

Amy Jane Mello, 33, of Tiverton, passed away on January 16, 2020.  Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Mona (Ouellette) and Wayne Mello.

Amy had worked in fast food.  She loved being at the ocean and spending time with her children, Izayah, Levi and Ava Mello.  She also leaves her sister, Erin Keith and her husband Walter, along with a nephew, Zachary Keith, and a niece, Emily Keith.  In addition, she is survived her boyfriend, Curtis Hall, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Arrangements are with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, 462 Main Road. Tiverton.  There are no services scheduled at this time.  www.almeida-pocasset.com for on line guest book.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, in her memory.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
