Ada Martha Webster Maney, 94

Ada Martha Webster Maney, 94, of Barrington (formerly Bristol) passed away peacefully in her home on June 11, 2019, surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 30, 1924, one of 12 children born to Albert and Martha (Mather) Benn of Pawtucket.

She is survived by two of her siblings, Pattie Kwon and Ronald Benn.

In 1942, she graduated from Pawtucket West High School. Ada married George Webster Jr. (predeceased in 2000) of Pawtucket on August 30, 1947, and leaves behind their three children, Priscilla Prew, George Webster III, and Doris Bisordi.  Ada was fortunate to have found love again with her surviving spouse, William Maney of Barrington on January 20, 2003.

Ada loved to dance, travel, and visit with family. Proud of her large family, Ada used to make the holiday meals and host various robust family gatherings at her Swift Point home in Bristol, a special location where she enjoyed looking out at the water.

Ada, “Ma,” loved tremendously her eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her and the profound impact she has made on their lives.

A private burial service, was held at Newport Memorial Park in Middletown, where she will rest eternally next to George. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ada to Save the Bay, https://www.savebay.org/get-involved/donate/.
