The following is a synopsis of Warren Police logs from Monday, Oct. 28-Sunday, Nov. 3:

Monday, Oct. 28
Responding to a call to assist with a stranded motor vehicle at around 2 p.m., the WPD officer found a stalled car in the middle of the intersection of Water and Main Streets. The elderly male driver had the emergency brake on. The vehicle was moved out of the roadway.

Tuesday, Oct. 29
Police answered an animal complaint call at 12:05 p.m. on Birchswamp Road. Upon arrival the officer found a loose canine. An attempt to contact the owner was unsuccessful. The dog was transferred to the animal shelter. The canine was tan and white, large breed and weight about 100 pounds.

Wednesday, Oct. 30
At just before 5 p.m. officers responded to a possible hit-and-run motor vehicle accident involving a parked car at Water and Baker Streets. The license plate was provided by caller. Units report negative on locating either vehicle;
Bristol PD was notified. BPD found driver, making contact with owner of vehicle who stated she did hit a mirror but left a note for the other owner with her contact information. Units located owner of parked vehicle who stated she did not wish to file a report.

Thursday, Oct. 31
Upon making a motor vehicle stop at 10:36 a.m. on Croade Street, police arrested Danny L. Viel, 56, of 46 Croade St., on a disorderly conduct charge, a misdemeanor, and later released.

Friday, Nov. 1
Police answered a call of a suspicious vehicle on Market Street at 10:24 p.m. doing "donuts" in a parking lot. Arriving to the scene, an officer reported the party was a new driver and unsure what the traction control button on the vehicle. They were advised and no further issues occurred.

Saturday, Nov. 2
Public safety personnel were dispatched to a Main Street residence for a report of a possible kitchen fire at 9:28 p.m. Upon arrival heavy smoke was met in the hallway. It was later determined an air fryer had melted to the stove top. the occupant of the apartment was evacuated. Two patients were evaluated, but declined treatment. All responding units were clear as of 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 3
Upon a motor vehicle stop on Metacom Avenue at 1:13 a.m., police arrested a 23-year-old Warren woman, Sabrina N. Ferrara, on the following charges: DUI of liquor - blood alcohol concentration unknown - 1st offense; possession of a schedule i to v controlled substance - 1st offense; and refusal to submit chemical test. She was later arraigned and released into the custody of a relative.
