World-class figure skating in Newport
An inaugural figure skating demonstration is taking place from 7 to 8 p.m. as part of the Newport Winter Festival at the seaside ice rink near the Newport Harbor Island Resort on Goat Island. The demonstration stars national competitor Jun-Hong Chen, collegiate national champion Heidi Munger, and more.
The complimentary show, featuring world-class figure skating, is hosted by Brad Vigorito of BV Skating and sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating.
Visitors are welcome to stick around after the show for a public skate with the stars, hot chocolate, and more.
