Winter Wonders weekend scavenger hunts at Blithewold

Join Blithewold for a weekend escape in the gardens and arboretum’s majestic winter landscape. They’ve got four themed scavenger hunts for family fun during your visit. Complete your scavenger hunt and you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a Music at Sunset Picnic Package for Four! Then take home a Grab & Go activity, worksheet pages, and a suggested children’s reading list for winter (One Grab & Go kit for every pre-registered child).

WHERE: Blithewold, 101 Ferry Road, Bristol

WHEN: Saturday & Sunday, Feb. 27 & 28; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

COST: Free for members; $10 non-member adults and $5 non-member children

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
