Wickford Art’s Celebrity Art Show & Auction

Posted

Launching with an in-gallery and virtual exhibit on July 16, 2021, the Wickford Art Association (WAA) will present our first Celebrity Art Show & Auction featuring a variety of artworks by influencers across Rhode Island media, business, politics, and the arts. Because we believe inside every individual lies an ARTIST, we have tapped into the creative side of local celebrities whose artistic energies were just waiting to BURST! Some are active creators, and some are enthusiastic first-timers.

Each celebrity has identified a charity to receive 50% of the proceeds of their auctioned work. The schedule for the event, with opening and closing LIVESTREAMED events hosted by Rhode Island’s won Charlie Hall is:

• July 16 through August 1 – In-Gallery & Virtual exhibition, gallery hours: Wednesday through Saturday (noon-4pm), Sunday (noon-3pm), Virtual Gallery at wickfordart.org

• July 17 and July 18 (4-6pm) – Livestreamed interviews with celebrity artists hosted by Charlie Hall

• July 23 – 30 (24 hours/day) – Live bidding through in-gallery visits, phone, and wickfordart.org

• August 1 (4-6pm) – Livestreamed Closing Event with representatives of benefitting charities hosted by Charlie Hall, reception provided

All participating celebrities and their artwork will be featured through Wickford Art Association’s social media feeds on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Find us @wickfordartassociation (Facebook), @wickfordart (Instagram & Twitter).
