Westport police: Two face drug charges following car stop

Thursday, Jan. 13

Police received word of a road hazard on State Road just after 9 a.m., and addressed it.

Friday, Jan. 14

Animal complaints came in from Cornell Road just after 11 a.m.

Police arrested a man after a 911 call about a disturbance on State Road at 11:42 a.m. Charged was Jadis Wilson, 21, of 290 Almond, Apt. 3, Fall River. Police did not note the specific charge in the police logs.

Animal complaints came in from State Road, Main Road and American Legion Highway.

Police were called at 4:44 p.m. and asked to help keep the peace on American Legion Highway.

A Faulkner Street resident reported larceny/forgery/fraud.

Saturday, Jan. 15

Two people were called after an automobile accident on Old Bedford Road reported to police at 12:16 a.m. Carissa Chatlien, 37, of 70 Outlook Ave., East Providence, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, marked lane violations, and possession of a Class A drug. Ashley Parker, 37, of Harrison Street, Fall River, was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of a Class A drug.

Police served a restraining order at Conserve Avenue just after 9 a.m.

Police were called and asked to keep the peace on Gifford Road at 11:44 a.m.

An animal complaint came in from Sanford Road at 11:05 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 16

Police looked for a suspicious car reported at Hix Bridge and Route 88 at 10:32 a.m., but came up empty.

A burglar alarm called in on Brayton Point Road at 11:22 a.m. was accidental, police said.

Tuesday, Jan. 18

A caller reported suspicious activity on Robert Street just before noon.

A caller reported vandalism on Old County Road just after noon.

Police restored peace on Charlotte White Road after getting a call for help just before 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 19

Police investigated a burglar alarm at Boathouse Row but deemed it accidental.

A Cornell Road resident reported property damage.

Larceny/forgery/fraud was reported from American Legion Highway just before 5 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 20

A caller reported a breaking and entering on Maple Lane at 12:40 p.m. Police checked out and secured the property.

Police restored peace on Horseneck Road after getting a call about a disturbance at 4 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 22

Angela Burgess, 58, of 20 Blackamore, Apt. 220, Pawtucket, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, after police pulled her over at State Road and Pleasant Street at 1:48 a.m.

A caller asked police to perform a well-being check on Main Road at 7 a.m.

Sunday, Jan. 23

Police investigated a 911 hangup call on Sanford Road at 7:15 a.m.
