Westport police arrest two on warrants

Monday, April 14

Police checked out an Old Harbor Road residence after a caller reported an open window and door at 9:52 a.m.

A 911 caller from Old Bedford Road reported an unwanted person on the premises at 10:11 a.m.; police advised the caller that it was a civil, not criminal, matter.

A Gifford Road resident reported a suspicious person at 10:48 a.m.

Police investigated a report of larceny, forgery or fraud that came in from Old County Road at 11:11 a.m.

A caller from Old Bedford Road reported threats at 11:58 a.m.

Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on Plymouth Boulevard at 12:57 a.m. They were more successful upon their return at 2:23 p.m.

Animal complaints came in from Benoit Street and Sanford Road at 2:48 p.m.

Police pulled over and warned two drivers over the course of the day.

Tuesday, April 15

Police assisted after a State Road caller reported an unwanted person on the premises at 3:55 p.m.

Police served a restraining order on Drift Road at 5:17 p.m.

A caller from Kelsey’s Way complained of harassment at 5:55 p.m.

Christian Muniz Silva, 32, of 127 Tecumseh, Apt. 2, Fall River, was arrested on two unspecified warrants and also charged with driving with a suspended license, and for a lights violation, after police pulled him over on State Road at 9:11 p.m.

Police pulled over and warned two drivers over the course of the day.

Wednesday, April 16

A 911 caller complained of excessive noise on Briar Drive at 6:32 a.m.

A 911 caller reported road rage at Fisher Road and Autumn Drive at 2:39 p.m.

Danielle K. Laprise, 44, of 33 B Drive, was arrested on an unspecified warrant after police responded to a 911 hangup call from B Drive at 3:37 p.m.

Police processed a firearms licensing request at 4:34 p.m.

Police were asked to keep the peace on American Legion Highway at 6:34 p.m.

A 911 call regarding a brush fire on Faunce Corner Road was transferred at 7:59 p.m.

Police pulled over and cited one driver over the course of the day.

Thursday, April 17

A 911 caller reported a road hazard on Route 195 at 11:45 a.m.

Police were asked to keep the peace on Plymouth Boulevard at 11:46 a.m.

Police tried but were unable to serve a summons on Euclid Street at 1:53 p.m. They had more luck upon their return at 6:36 p.m.

A 911 call regarding a brush fire on Drift Road was transferred to the fire department at 3:52 p.m.

Police warned two drivers, and cited 19, over the course of the day.

Friday, April 18

A 911 call regarding a brush fire on Main Road was transferred to the fire department at 11:22 a.m.

A 911 call regarding a structure fire on Gifford Road was transferred to the fire department at 12:16 p.m.

A caller reported a road hazard on Main Road at 3:04 p.m., but police said the call was unfounded.

Police were called to Gifford Road at 3:40 p.m. for an unwanted person.

Police served a summons on Narrow Avenue at 5:28 p.m.

Police served a restraining order on Sisson Brook Lane at 5:29 p.m.

Police were asked to keep the peace on Rock Street at 7:25 p.m.

Police pulled over and warned three drivers, and cited 26, over the course of the day.

Saturday, April 19

Police were asked to keep the peace on Old County Road at 10:32 a.m.

Police investigated a State Road caller’s report of suspicious activity at 11:09 a.m.

Animal complaints came in from Sodom Road at 2:25 p.m., via 911 from Horseneck Road at 8:02 p.m., and from State Road at 9:51 p.m.

Police pulled over and warned five drivers, and cited 34, over the course of the day.

Sunday, April 20

Police assisted after a 911 caller from Old County Road reported a suspicious person at 2:15 a.m.

A 911 call regarding a brush fire on Donna Street was transferred to the fire department at 2:58 a.m.

Animal complaints came in from Charlotte White Road at 9:21 p.m.
