Westport will mark the sacrifices made by its armed service members with a parade and ceremony this coming Monday, May 27.

Veterans and town officials will lay a wreath, with a rifle salute and the playing of Taps, before the parade steps off from Town Hall at 9:30 a.m.

Marchers will head south to the Beech Groce cemetery, where service members, veterans, veterans’ organizations, Gold Star families, town officials, Scout, bands, Color Guards, civic organizations and town officials will gather.

There, a ceremony commences at 10 a.m.

In case of weather, the parade will be canceled and the ceremony will be held in the Town Hall Annex gym at 10 a.m.
