Sixteen Westport High School students traveled to the Quincy Marriott to compete against over 900 students from 16 high schools in Southeastern Massachusetts at the DECA District 1 Conference. 

Seven students qualified for the state conference which is being held in Boston on March 9-11.  This was achieved by finishing in the top eight in the category they competed in.

They are:

• Jacob Silvia – Accounting, 4th place

• Caelin Molloy – Business Management, 3rd place

• Hailey Charest and Sam Morra – Financial Service Team Decision-making, 2nd place

• Jaely Pereira – Sports and Entertainment Marketing, 7th place

• Olivia Corey – Retail Merchandising, 5th place

• Tobey Dasilva – Marketing Management, 8th place.

Dakota Costa, Emily Casado, Ben Silvia, Adam Charest, Zach Rothwell, Corey Lesieur, Erin Carney, Rachel Letendre, and Sam Rouillard round out the 16.  “Congratulations are in order for all our competitors,” said Kevin Clark, WHS business teacher and DECA advisor.
